Women during the the civil rights movement were a non violent group during the time. One group during this time was the Title IX. This program protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. Another group is the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). The ERA was written by Alice Paul. The ERA gave women the right to vote and get better working conditions. Also they had organized picketing so that they would get what they want. The last group was the Roe V. Wade. Roe V. Wade made it so women could choose for themselves if they wanted to have an abortion on their children instead of their husbands crossing it for them.
